    Hello,

I am having problems translating the following sections on the SweetDate WP theme’s search page with WPML plugin.  The issue I can see is because some of the theme functions for the search page are provisioned from the theme’s options settings and shortcode.

I have reviewed similar issues encountered on this forum by other users and it seems that most of these cases were relating to the Kleo theme and not the SweetDate WP theme. I am hereby checking with you to see if there’s any options to translate these fields without having to change the WPML plugin to a different translation plugin as I have invested so much into customizing my website to where we are now?

These are the areas I am in need of immediate help for the translations at this present time.

I would be grateful for any assistance and solution to resolve these problems.

    Many thanks.

    Kind Regards
    Haeden

Hi @haeden, the parts with the search elements are built on top of the buddypress fields, so most probably your first move would be in getting the “BuddyPress Multilingual” plugin from WPML, see in it’s docs how to use it and probably will solve the translation of the fields.

Regarding the text area, I think you can use a plugin like this which provide you a wpml shortcode you could use in any content box. https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpml-translate-shortcode/

    Cheers
