Hi guys,
I just worked my ass off the last few weeks to rearrange a lot of things on my website. Some minutes ago, I upgraded the theme to version 4.0.1 coming from 3.9.
I am using the “wide” option and now it seems that the part of page that is used for the content is smaller than before. You can see that from top to bottom. On my 1440×900 Mac screen the logo is not near the left upper corner (like it is on here on the 7thQueen page) but it is seems like being in a box, although the background is sitewide.
This is not what I think of, when I mean wide and it was not, what your theme did until I upgraded. But there are other issues, that make it even worse for me.
So e.g. on http://mcprezi.com/superkraefte-know-how/praesentation-design-erstellung/ the titles of the 4 columns used to fit into 2 rows giving it a similar. Now the first title needs 4 rows, the second title needs 3 rows and in the last column, the title is in a higher postion than the other 3.
So, how can do to let my site look like it looked on version 3.9. of your theme?

Desperately waiting to hear from you!

It seems there is indeed a small issue, which will be fixed in a small update coming this days.
Meanwhile to fix your page width, you have to go in “Theme Options > Layout Settings”, on “Site Layout” click on “Boxed”, then under “Site Width” select “1440px”, go back to “Site Layout” and switch back to “Wide” and then click Save.Sorry for the inconvenience, we’ll fix it asap.
Cheers

March 1, 2016 at 16:21 #107695rikbutterflyskullParticipantI want to know one thing. In Wide layout the max width is always 1440px?
March 1, 2016 at 16:33 #107704AndreiModeratorHi,
This is how it should work, boxed layouts have a wider content container indeed, that’s how always was.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.

I will go over your other topics asap and get back to you.

I just wanted to let you know that I was the one writing this question. And I just can say, your fix doesn’t work!
What about my second question regarding the socket? I am not able to change anything in there, as anytime I save the settings, the changes are overwritten with the old status. Should I open a new thread for this or can you answer this question here?

March 4, 2016 at 14:52 #108505AndreiModeratorHi @mcsinn, firstly please update your theme to the latest version because we fixed the column issues, after you install the update please go in theme settings and re-save your settings.
For your issue regarding fields that don’t get saved, please ask your hosting support to change the “php_value max_input_vars” value to something bigger, like 5000
Let me know how it went.

and thanks for coming back. The column issues has now been fixed by the update. So that’s done!
Regarding the fields I asked my hosting provider to change the setting to 5000. Therefor he inserted this setting in the htaccess and told me that it should work.
I tried to change the socket text, but it still does not work. I event tried to deactivate Visual composer (as this sometimes blocks other plugins and settings), but this did not help either.
So, what/shall I do to fix this?
March 4, 2016 at 16:20 #108553AndreiModeratorI tried to replicate this issue on my side and I couldn’t, the only thing I can recommend your is to deactivate all your plugins and re-activate them one by one while trying to modify that field, this way you might find some conflicting plugin. Also you can create a “test.php” file on you server, and add in it “” and check if the change made by your hosting did really applied.
Cheers

Mark as a solutionMarch 8, 2016 at 12:00 #109183mcsinnParticipantDoes this mean, that you tried it on my site or on your end? If you tried it on one of your installations that will not be way to solve my issue, right?
Btw, I do not get, what the thing with the test.php should get me as an answer? I am not a php guru, so please tell me exactly, what I would have to do. Otherwise tips like that don’t help!
March 15, 2016 at 00:13 #110547AndreiModeratorMaking that simple file and adding the phpinfo code would have been listed your php configuration where you could check if the “max_input_vars” value was really changed.
From my knowledge such problems like yours only happens because of some hosting limitation or misconfiguration or by some conflicting plugins.
You can contact your hosting support and ask them to give a look into your error log for any issues on you wp backend regarding this issue with fields that don’t get saved.
Also, please disable all plugins that didn’t come with the theme and let me know if in that scenario everything works as it should.
Let me know how it works, if the issue still persists then please provide us an ftp account so we can make some extra checks to be sure everything works fine.
Cheers
