    Hi,

    I’ve had three people try to register with @hotmail.com accounts but once they sign up through the site they never receive the email confirmation to active their account.

    However others like yahoo and gmail users are able to receive the confirmation email to activate their account.

    The hotmail users already checked their junk and spam folders but the email never arrived.

    How can I fix this problem?

    I had the same problem. I think this is a problem with hotmail if you use your own mailserver. now the confirmation mail is in JUNK, not better, but if you write your users they also have to check their junk…

    The problem is that it doesn’t even show up in the Junk folder. The emails never arrive.
    I have hotmail and tried to sign up a temporary profile. It didn’t work, I never received and email to hotmail.

    Hi, That is a problem between your mail sending server and Hotmail and has nothing to do with the theme. Try sending trough a SMTP server in other location

    How do you set up sending through SMTP server?

    You have to change the way your WordPress installation sends E-Mails! In order to achieve this, try this Plugin to configurate the SMTP Settings of your WordPress installtion where you are using the Theme.

    Configure SMTP – WordPress Plugin
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/configure-smtp/

    Your WordPress needs SMTP Configurations just like any E-Mail Client, for example Outlook express or Thunderbird, You need to tell WordPress what are the SMTP Settings he needs in order to send E-Mails.

    If you don’t configure the SMTP Settings, the WordPress will use your hosting default settings for sending e-mail and some e-mail services like hotmail can block those e-mails.

    Hope this helps everyone with this problem, any doubt, fell free to ask here, if the author of this teme authorize, I will try to help you.

    Im having the same problem with MSN emails, everything else gmail, yahoo etc is fine.
    i think its an issue with godaddy being blacklisted with MSN.

    @Jonaro
    , to set up these smtp configurations you need to buy a third party service like mandrill, sendgrid etc.. correct? which one would you recommend?
