Update without lose my modifications

    Hi,
    I have much customized sweetdate version 2.2. Now i can’t update to 2.4 because i will lost all modifications that i have made.
    Can you suggest me a method to update without lose my edit?

    I have made an error, i know. I have modified sweetdate theme and not child.
    How can i solve it now?

    put every edited file (with folderstructure) into a new themefolder called sweetdate-child + activate this one

    So if i understand i can rename the actual theme sweetdate-child and upload a new version of theme, then activate the sweetdate-child theme?

    you need 2 themes. sweetdate + sweetdate-child. and in the child you only should have the edited files. you activate the child. but when updating, you update the sweetdate.
