Can you post videos/photos using a mobile device? Which devices work?
ex) I am a user logged into the buddyapp website on my phone and want to post a photo or video from my phone library.
March 29, 2016 at 19:06 #113351RaduModeratorHi you should be able to upload media from your smartphone, if you cannot to that try to upload with the wordpress default theme and let me know if it works from that theme.
Cheers

See attached image My_example.png, logged in as user “sotosports” from our site. When I click the camera icon nothing happens. There is no user interface allowing me to upload my picture.
See attached image Theme_demo.png, logged in as user “demo” from your live preview page. When I click the camera icon I am now prompted to upload media, this works correctly.

Just i’ve tested on buddyapp theme with an iphone 6 to upload a picture to activity and it works.
If after you click on the media button nothing happens it can be caused by some JS errors, i suggest you to disable all plugins except Visual Composer,K-elements,Buddypress,rtMedia and Revolution slider, then test again.
Then enable plugins back one by one and check again to see what plugins causes this.
Let me know

I tested my iphone6 with the safari browser and it worked fine without me changing anything. I then disabled all plugins with exception to what you mentioned (cleared my browsing history, cookies, and cache) and tried on my chrome browser and same issue, nothing happens when I push the camera icon.
Also side note – I do not have K-elements and Revolution Slider plugins, does the theme come with these?

Details:
iPhone 6
iOS: 9.3.1
Chrome browser version 49.0.2623.109Attachments:

April 5, 2016 at 18:45 #114708RaduModeratorYes i don’t have a upload button and i have IOS 9.3.1 but all are blue now instead the pink color.
Try to install the theme on a subdomain and leave only buddypress and rtmedia activated to see how it looks and feel.. also you can try to deactivate all plugins except buddypress and rt media an d switching from child theme to parent to see how it looks and if you are allow to upload photos.

FRom what i see only video format that rtmedia it allows is mp4 also make sure that you allow video upload form wp-admin -> rtmedia -> settings -> types -> Video ON.
If the issue persists follow this : https://rtcamp.com/rtmedia/faq/#q4
