Portfolio categories not showing

Hi.  When displaying my portfolio items the categories are not showing although I selected the ” Show filter on top with categories”   option both in the page and on the theme options. If I select one of the categories instead of “all”, the categories appear on the portfolio page but I get the following error: Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /hermes/walnaweb10a/b1985/pow.sandlo/htdocs/web/wp-content/themes/kleo/lib/theme-functions.php on line 1856. You can take a look at the two print screens so you can understand whats going on.
