Can we send email for all buddypress membress without mailchimp ?

Hello,
I would like send an email at all members of my blog. like mailchimp.
I saw the option ( Write a mail => active mail for all users )
But members get only an alert with when they are connected.
But i would like than user get mail in there box mail like MailChimp.
So is it possible to send a true e-mail for all buddypress members ?
