Hi,there!
I’m running a website where users can find a language partner.
I simply choose “I am a”and “Looking for a” (to make sure I don’t even change the name).change to something like
I am
spanish
englishlooking for
spanish
englishI create two test users.
one fill “I am” with spanish, “looking for a “with english
the other “I am” english,”looking for a ” spanish.Matching fields are set~both are drop-down style
but still no member found!can u guys tell me where can I possibly do wrong?
it driving me crazy!
Plz do help!March 13, 2014 at 12:20 #12631AbeKeymasterHi, I think you are complicating things. You should use just one field instead of two for the language and have one like Language and it won’t involve matching fields.
Normally if you want to use matching fields then both fields must have same values and when the search is done it will look for one field value in other field set as matchingHi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solution---

I use only one field named “Speak” as required. My test users all fill this field.
let the matching fields blank.
then back to search form…select a language…
still no members were found~My hands up!

define(‘CUSTOM_USER_TABLE’, ‘wp_users’);
define(‘CUSTOM_USER_META_TABLE’, ‘wp_usermeta’);the prefix for site using sweetdate is meetu_
can this be an issue?
March 18, 2014 at 00:49 #12907AbeKeymasterIt is related to the buddypress fields, I don’t think it has to do with those tables.
