ParticipantI purchase sweetdate (really great!) and initially installed the main theme. Then I changed to the child theme expecting it to be identical but it isn’t, which confused me.
I have a couple of issues with the basic layout that I can’t seem to resolve…
1. When I set the layout to boxed rather than wide, it stays as a wide setting. This only happens in the child theme.
2. In the top navigation there is a line of text that says “Please select your page” and the Sweetdate logo. I cannot work out how to remove this and I don’t want it on my site. It did not appear in the main theme, only when I switched to the child theme.
So slightly confused as I expected them to be the same only for the child theme allowing me to alter the CSS.
Can you help, please?
Many thanks.

ParticipantMe again! I also can’t get the drop-down navigation to work in my menu. I have created a menu and have chosen to have two pages hanging off a parent page. This is all setup in my custom menu. Yet what actually displays on my site is the parent page in the navigation bar with the little arrow to show there is a sub menu but when you hover or click the link, the sub menu doesn’t appear.
Hope to be able to get some help with these issues.
Many thanks.

KeymasterHi,
1. When switching to the child theme make sure to re-save any options in Sweetdate page. That should not happen.
2. “Please select your page” appears only on mobile devices since it is part of the mobile menuPut a link to your site please

KeymasterSeems like you messed something: NetworkError: 404 Not Found – http://www.glutenfreebakeclub.co.uk/bake-club/wp-content/themes/sweetdate-child/sweetdate/style.css”
You file should be: sweetdate-child/style.css not sweetdate-child/sweetdate/style.css

ParticipantMany thanks for this. I have made the change so the file is in the correct location but hasn’t resolved the issues above.
Any other suggestions?
Thank you!
