How do I send an internal message to all of my users from the admin profile? Not an email, just a message the same as one user would send to another. I want to do this in bulk so I can send the same message out to all users of my site at the same time, and they will all see it in their profile inbox. Thanks.
Hello, using buddypress, if you go to your own profile and go to Messages, you will see at the message box, a checkbox that allows you to send it to all users 🙂

Saw that, but the other question is will they all get an email too? That sudden flow of thousands of emails at one time could bog down my server (I’m on VPS, not shared).
I’ll tell you the other solution I had – Use MailPoet (my email plugin) to send out an email to all subscribers. With that, you can drip them out at a certain number per hour, say 150 per hour, until they are all sent.

Do you know if using that ‘send to all users’ feature sends a notification email to all the users? I would assume it does, because it is just the same as a private message right?
But by now I’ve learned to assume nothing when it comes to WordPress, so that’s why I ask.
Hello, it would make a popup appear when they login. For a mail, you could use MailPoet plugin and send a mail to all users. That solution seems the best 🙂
