Hi! Upon signups, members get a mail with a link to activate their membership. But when they click it, they come to a page saing “The activation key is not valid” then we have to manually go in and activate new members. What is wrong here?

After installing and activating “bp disable activation reloaded”, we now experience that there is NO activation mail being sendt and that you get signed right in when going back to the site.
This seems unsecure, or what? Isn`t it best that you get a working activation link on mail?Hello, its a bit insecure but easy to fix, install https://es.wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-nocaptcha-register-box/ to prevent spam at the registration page. Also consider to add another captcha plugin for the wp-login page too

I guess I could try the nocaptcha solution, but I was kind of hoping to get the signup to work as intended in the beginning, with the activation link. Is that an approach seventhqueen has moved away from now?Hello, its an issue that happens with buddypress and your server sometimes, its not related to us or the theme. That solution works so until they resolve it its the best way
