Cannot duplicate search form modification

Hello,

I am making a database and network driven site but that has ZERO affiliation to dating.I noticed the “Sweet Travel” example and need to modify my form to suit my needs. I attached the view of your dropdown and my dropdown options – I do not have any option for custom fields as you have shown in your video demo (dropdown, radio) and also – where do I go to edit the fields in general. I am well-versed in code editing and I found the correct php file (custom buddypress > buddypress functions) but is there an easier way to customize the entirety of the content or should I just do it inside of this php file?

Also, can you add functionality to add a “date from and to” fields, ie: “Dates you will be gone: August 24 – August 30” with the form fields please?
