Hello again!
I am having a strange issue with making your News/Magazine Demo Page my ‘Posts’ page in the WP Settings > Reading > Select Posts Page.
I want your News/Magazine Demo to be my blog page on my website. However, it only works if I DON’T select my blog as the ‘posts page’ in settings > reading.
When I do select the blog as the posts page in settings > reading, it reverts back to the basic carousal blog theme.
I have attached the two screenshots to clarify what I mean in case this sounds confusing. I hope my screenshots help elaborate what i mean.
Basically, having your news/magazine demo page as my blog page only works when I don’t select it as my posts page in WP > settings > reading, and I was wondering if it’s a bad thing or it’s a thing I can ignore? Because I notice regardless, if I select it, the posts still show up…

Try to set none for posts page, and to link from the menu to your desired page
