PITA!!! Convert to new version

WTF! In building the page using the items on the page I want to use the kleo_only_guests. First of all I’m unable to insert items using the text editor. Meaning if I add a row and then add a text box nothing happens when I click a button within that text editor to insert a shortcode into that text box.
So I create a row that basically is a single column. Under that I add another which I make four (4) columns. Inside of each column I add a text box. In both the top and bottom rows I use the [kleo_only_guest] as this is content I want non registered/visitors to see when visiting the home page.
I save the page and once it refreshes I get this message:

Your page layout was created with previous Visual Composer version. Before converting your layout to the new version, make sure to read this page.

The content in that page is useless as it doesn’t tell you what needs fixing. Once I click the box to convert all of my settings are gone! What am I suppose to do to achieve the look I’m seeking?
