Hi there. I’ve been attempting to modify the text color in the footer using the Customizer. When previewing in the Customizer, I see the text successfully changing, however, it keeps defaulting back to the original colors. I’ve disabled all caching plugins on the site and confirmed the issue still exists. The only way I can seem to make the color changes work is if I manually add them into the text widget as an HTML style. I’d prefer using the Customizer, of course. I’m wondering if this is a similar problem I experienced here – https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/unable-to-remove-white-gap-between-header-and-first-row-background-image-on-pinterest-sample-page, where GeoDirectory appeared to be conflicting.
I performed a search within the KB and documentation but couldn’t find a potential resolution. Would someone mind taking a look and letting me know how I may resolve, please?

Another update/FYI: It appears the changes are successfully occurring when reviewing the site on a Windows PC using both Chrome and Internet Explorer, however, they changes don’t appear to be successfully occurring when reviewing the site on a Mac, neither in Chrome nor Safari.

Hi,
I can change the colors without any problem in my install and if you was able to change those colors from a certain browser and some not, empty browser cache and cookies for the browsers that not works.
In the provided link i cannot see any geodir element, you are referring to the search ?

I just checked the site again via a Mac and also via a Windows 7 machine and all appears to be working as it should. I deleted my cache and cookies from all browsers, made a color change to the site’s footer and confirmed the new color is now in place. I’m not exactly sure what the problem was before as I had the same issue across two Macs and two Windows machines in different locations. I’m just thankful that all is resolved with the footer! My apologies for involving your time on something so simple.
Regarding the CSS change, you had suggested via another ticket adding the following styles into the quick CSS:
#geodir-sidebar, #geodir-sidebar-left, #geodir-sidebar-right, #geodir-wrapper-content {padding-top: 0;}
I’ve done so which has successfully removed the white gap in between the homepage large image and the header. However, now there’s no gap between a GeoDirectory listing detail page and the header as exampled here:

Do you know how I can add some padding to all pages except for the homepage?

You can have padding for all your pages exliding home with something like this :
CSS that will control only home. it haves .home class before
COPY CODE.home #geodir-sidebar, #geodir-sidebar-left, #geodir-sidebar-right, #geodir-wrapper-content {padding-top: 0 !important;}//this will be applied sitewite.
