Hello,
I like the Sweet Date Demo a lot. I am trying my best to reproduce how they look with my own sites.
Right now I am trying to design/style personal profiles exactly the way they are advertised in the demo. However, I am not getting the same results at all. I am having an awful time duplicating your personal profile design.
1. Are you using the rtMedia plugin?
2. Do you have a video tutorial on exactly what you did to style/design the profiles in the demo?
3. Do you have documentation for the settings you used?
Thanks.
December 8, 2016 at 03:46 #146382LauraModeratorHello 🙂
1- Yes
2- There is no actual style, its buddypress with sweetdate theme, you might need to import the demo file so it looks like the demo, but it should already look like it, you can let me know exactly what part is different and i will check it out 🙂
3- The demo file has it and the documentation 🙂Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionLaura Solanes - Graphic Designer and Web Designer

December 13, 2016 at 09:54 #146879jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @laura
1. I already have the demo content installed
2. How do I control which links are in the profile view (see attached highlighted for both demo and my install). Your demo does not have “Notifications” etc. I would like to get rid of that in my website, but I do not see a way to edit those tabs.
3. In Sweet Date Theme Settings > Styling Options > It mentions a Top Menu (see attached). However, I do not see any evidence of a top menu the WP Admin Menu area. Does it exist? If it does, where is it?
4. Can you send me a snapshot of the rtMedia settings you have in your demo, please?
That’s all for now.
Thanks.

Top menu refers to the website menu.
For rtmedia, the default settings work 🙂Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionLaura Solanes - Graphic Designer and Web Designer

December 14, 2016 at 21:39 #147058jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @laura
Can you clarify, if I turn off the notifications, does it turn off only the link in the Buddypress profile menu (as highlighted in my snap shot), or does the user no longer receive notifications at all?
I just want to eliminate the link in the Buddypress profile menu, but the user should still receive notifications in their “Profile/Login” link.
Does that make sense?
December 16, 2016 at 01:28 #147197LauraModeratorHello, i see, then use this css
COPY CODEa#user-notifications { display: none !important; }

December 22, 2016 at 18:23 #147808jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @laura
Wow! It looks really good! Thank you!
Two more questions and I think we’re done.
1. Is there a way to put the “Notifications” up in the “Profile/Logout” drop down menu? See attached snapshot.
2. I have another Sweetdate site I want to add the exact same changes too. Can you tell me where you put the code so I can copy/paste it to the other site, too?
Thanks again Laura. You are always such a help. 🙂
Cheers.

1- You will need to edit header.php , first copy it to the child theme and edit it to add the menu links, you will need some help of a developer if you do not know how to do it
2- Style.css and quick css at theme settings 🙂Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionLaura Solanes - Graphic Designer and Web Designer

I’ll try to edit the header.php file myself. Is there a tutorial, or another support ticket that gives instruction?
Thanks!
December 30, 2016 at 09:26 #148349LauraModeratorHello, not right now, that is why i suggest to hire a developer 🙂
