Hello,
I’ve activated “Related Posts” and “Custom Related Posts.” Can you explain the following:
1. What is the difference between the two?
2. I don’t see any custom settings. Can you control how many posts to display? Can you select Grid or List display?
3. My current post shows up in the related post. Is there a way to skip the current post so it does not display in the related post area?

1- First one is to enable related post section below your article, the second one enables that to custom post types, if you add any.
2- Those are the options right now, what you can see at the settings
