    Hi,

At the moment when a new member tries to join my website they receive this message: “ERROR: JavaScript and Cookies are required in order to register. Please be sure JavaScript and Cookies are enabled in your browser, and reload the page”.

Please can you take a look by trying to register and see if you experience the same problem: https://greenscotland.org/register/

I have checked my cookie and java settings and removed my cache but still see the same message. Please advise what is up.

    Thanks,

    Adam

    Hi again Laura,
Did you have chance to take a look at this problem? I would really appreciate some help with this as I have new members wanting to sign up and this issue is making it impossible.
    Many thanks,
    Adam

Hello, sorryy for the delay, please try this:
    1- Delete SG CachePress
    2- Install Total Cache
    3- Try to register

If that doesnt work, deactivate all plugins but buddypress then try to register
    Let me know 🙂

    Hi Laura,
I have found the issue was down to wp-spamshield plugin conflicting with the latest version of wordpress. I have disabled that plugin until it is updated and now the register process is working again.
    Thanks,
    Adam

Actually it turns out the problem wasn’t a conflict with wp-spamshield and wordpress/buddypress, rather that I needed to flush all of the caches of my siteground supercacher via my control panel. That has solved the problem and the plugin and site are working back to normal again.
