Hello out there!
The Community we have build up the last months is small but tghey are working hard. They are happy about the System an the awesome theme but before we roll out the system for a big number of users we have to solve some bugs.
Problem with Filtering Groups in Member Profile Navi.
The Link “Groups” does not lead to
https://www.generationearth.at/en/members/feature/groups/ (href of the a tag)
but to https://www.generationearth.at/en/groups/
So the Profile Navigation is lost and all groups are shown.Screenshots:

February 28, 2017 at 16:28 #154366RaduModeratorHi,
I’m unable to view the member’s page it redirects me to homepage maybe I should login ?
did you have all things updated like WordPress and rest of the plugins? You can check for the plugin updates from wp-admin -> appearance -> install plugins.
If you de-activate child theme the website works ok ? Let me know
Cheers

The group page can be defined at wp-admin -> settings -> buddypress -> pages -> groups
Choose your desired page there, but it’s recommended to have /groups/ page instead of /members/feature/groups/
This link: https://www.generationearth.at/en/members/feature/groups/ it redirects me to the https://www.generationearth.at/en/groups/ page
Also the page it’s empty not displayed nothing
On my profile all navigations are displayed
Let me know what navigation missing cuz I cannot figure out.
Related to the white group page, try to de-activate child theme and disable all plugins excluding BuddyPress and check again
Let me know
Cheers

I’ve accepted, for me the groups’ page it’s not displayed it’s just a white pageAnd if I want to access my groups link from my profile I’m redirected to general groups page domain.com/groups/
In this kind of cases when a empty white page it’s displayed it’s recommended to enable wp debug to see if there it’s some errors. (procedure will be paster below)
Let me know if you de-activate the child theme you encounter the issue that you describe !?
Steps to enable wp debug:
- Connect to your server by FTP
- Look in root directory of your WordPress install and open wp-config.php
- Search for define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, false ); and change FALSE value to TRUE
COPY CODEdefine( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
- After this line add this:
COPY CODEdefine( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
WP_DEBUG_LOG is a companion to WP_DEBUG that causes all errors to also be saved to a debug.log log file inside the /wp-content/ directory. This is useful if you want to review all notices later or need to view notices generated off-screen (e.g. during an AJAX request or wp-cron run).
Repeat the described actions and then check the debug.log file and let me know what error appears.
If this is useless please try to deactivate additional plugins except Visual Composer, K-elements, BuddyPress, Paid memberships pro and revolution slider.
After you have disabled the plugins try to see if the error persists.
Cheers

ok, i think the problem is the very strict way we have configured the system and the 2 languages.
1. Please change Language to DE in this language the Page Groups is OK
(we are working on the last language problems with WPML and are hopeful …)2. Therefore i have sent you a invitation to a Test Group today. Please join the Group.
Hope this will make the way free, so that you can see
what have tied to show you.Thank you for your decription to analyse the bug by the debug mode.
i have to discuss this with my customer, because we are online.Best wishes
AndreasMarch 29, 2017 at 15:36 #157085RaduModeratorHi,
If you run multilanguage you should have this plugin installed : https://srd.wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-multilingual/
This plugin can fix your issue if you using WPML.
Install, test it and let me know
Cheers

sorry for the delay, but i’m very busy with several projects.
Buddypress Multilingual is already installed an active.
There are some Problems left with the Main Pages / Endpoints. We know the reason for that: its a Name Conflict between the Language versions … We are on the way to solve that. But that is not the point. Please try the german language, so that you can see what our problem is:
You shoud have got an invitation für the Group https://www.generationearth.at/groups-de/andis-test/
There you can see the Link: Members (https://www.generationearth.at/groups-de/andis-test/members/)
This Link shoud show the Groups members (2) but shows all the members.
It seems that the Link is misleading and falls back to the Standard – EndpointPlease become a member of the test group i invited you. Then you can see the Problem.
Best wishes
AndreasApril 6, 2017 at 17:07 #157789RaduModeratorHi,
I saw the problems that you are reported but I think those are caused by some custom code or by some plugin?
Try to do the next, please de-activate all plugins except BuddyPress and BuddyPress multilingual plugin and also the child theme, then check again if you a can reproduce the issue, if yes i need an admin account and also a FTP access to the files.
Cheers
