Hello
I recently entered SSL Seal Code to Paid Membership Pro ‘Payment Gateways’ setting and after that my site is not accessible, it gives “too many redirects” error. I could not even access my wp admin panel after that change. So I decided to make sure if that was really the reason. I deleted Paid Membership Pro plugin via FTP client (before that I saved it in my local drive of course). And after deleting plugin – site becomes accessible again! So that’s it, that’s the problem.
But I don’t want to delete the whole plugin and re-configure it again from zero. I would like to find the file in that plugin that was changed with this SSL Seal Code – to delete just the code. I’ve tried the search tool with FileZilla but couldn’t find it.
Please guide me, which file of Paid Membership Pro was changed; so I can just take the changes back without reinstalling whole plugin. Thank you!

April 5, 2017 at 18:21 #157724RaduModeratorHi,
The plugin option values are stored in the database and you should make in first place a database backup then to search on entire tables for that certain code and to delete it from the database then re-install plugin and that’s all
Cheers

What are my next steps? Can you guide me, where exactly I need to search for that code? At least the name of component/subfolder?
April 6, 2017 at 19:14 #157830RaduModeratorIn database the code are sored and all website settings like plugin settings and wp settings, I recommend you to get help from a developer/web developer to achieve that.
You can ask a quote for removing the code from database at our dev address dev@seventhqueen.com

I’ve managed myself. I went to phpMyAdmin, followed your instructions, I found the code at wpbviv_options table, I deleted it. Then I deleted the plugin. The site was working. But as soon I install plugin again – it gives the same redirect error. I double check by searching the code through the database tables – nothing was found this time, so I really deleted it. So what could be the problem now? Why does paid-membership-pro plugin gives this “too many redirects” error and the site is not accessible?April 7, 2017 at 21:32 #157951callixaParticipantOk, I restored previous database backup, now everything works. So, the real issue is with PaidMembershipPro==>Payment Gateaway SSL settings. When setting to force SSL with “Yes”, which is recommended, there it comes this redirect loop issue. I tried second option with JavaScript redirects which is recommended if you have mentioned redirect loop – but still it doesn’t work fine and site becomes not accessible. So, what is the way to fix this issue?
April 10, 2017 at 19:28 #158126RaduModeratorHi again,
If you encounter same issue using default wp theme i recommend you to askk about this issue on pmpro forums.
But if you have the option OFF the gateway link it’s without HTTPS ?
Cheers

Why do they recommend it ON? Thank you
April 13, 2017 at 21:16 #158467RaduModeratorMaybe to have https but your site haves the https protocol and certificate already, maybe this causes the issue.
