am trying to build a simple lading page like this one https://archived.seventhqueen.com/sweetdate .am fing it quite hard just to create a simple clean llanding page with this them, if i try adding a background pic it leaves a big gap at the top and side ,any where how do i simply build a simple lading page

Thank you for the offer.i know you are very busy and i would not like to pester you every time am trying to build a page. It normally takes me seconds to do this on other templates .What i want is to be able to build a basic simple page with a cover picture on the top.I shall be building quite a lot of pages over time and you can imagine me coming to you every time asking you to put a cover picture for me per page.I believe its a lot easier to teach someone to fish than to fish for them every time they want to eat.
I have finished the hard part ,now its the easy part .I would definitely love to know how to do it myself ,plus a public answer would also help others facing the same issue.Thank you in advance Laura for your help
