Replace comment button with font awesome icon

Hi,

i want to replace the default buddypress activity stream comment button with a font awesome icon.

I was able to accomplish swapping the delete link text with the a trash can icon using a function, but this is not working for the comment button.

I’ve tried another approach modifying the class of bp_get_comment_link () in entry.php but it didn’t work for me either.

is there another way?
