    Hi,

We have added 4th Level Sub Menus under Appereance -> Menus but they are not showing on our website. We have named the menus “Share” & “View” respectively & they are both under Smart Corner -> Your Awesome -> Video ->.

We have also increased the “depth” to “6” in the file “general-header-section.php” in order to increase the number of sub menu levels that can be added. However, the menus still can’t be seen.

Additionally we have created another 4th Level Sub Menu as well called “Test” for testing purpose & even this menu cannot be seen. The path of this menu is Health and Fitness -> Healthy Eating -> Weight Loss ->

We can see the HTML code for these menus when we inspect element the website on any browser but for some reason these 4th Level Sub Menus are not showing in the menu bar. Even the “caret” icon is not showing on the Parent Menu (Video & Weight Loss respectively) for these menus.

Request your assistance in this matter urgently.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delayed response,

KLEO theme supports only 3 levels and if you need one more, there is no quick solution to provide or plug and play or easy solution for that.

But if you want to do it from here you can edit the depth menu from this file : /wp-content/themes/kleo/page-parts/general-header-section.php

To can have this modification update proof please copy it to /kleo/wp-content/themes/kleo-child/page-parts/ and make the changes in child theme

After that you should create entire css for level 4 case

    Cheers

    Hi,

If you check my first message of the ticket then you will see that I have already mentioned the “general-header-section.php” file & that we have also increased the “depth” of the “sub menu levels” to “6”. We are also aware that the menu needs to be adjusted by using css as the menu doesn’t show up without the “display:block” property.

However, because of the “display:block” property the menu always shows up while we want it to show up on Hover of it’s Parent Menu only. We believe to show the menu on Hover of it’s Parent Menu only (which is what we desire) some changes need to be done in JS (Javascript) files as well. So can you guide us in this regard?

Also the Parent Menu (for e.g. Weight Loss in this case) is not showing the “+” icon either to indicate that it has sub menus. The “+” icon is showing for all other Parent Menus except for the Parent Menu of a 4th Level Sub Menu.

Awaiting a quick response with resolutions for both the above mentioned issues.

    Hi,

Add this file content https://pastebin.com/raw/dviUYEFF to wp-content/themes/kleo-child/functions.php

This code menu walker function will overwrite the original behaviour of menu walker from the theme and will add automatically “+” caret on each menu that has childs.

    Let me know how

    Cheers

    Hi,

We have added the given file contents. However, the Parent Menu of 4th Level Sub Menus are showing “▼” icon instead of the mentioned & appropriate “+” icon. The “+” icon is what we want. All other Parent Menus are showing the correct icon. Only the Parent Menu of 4th Level Sub Menus are showing the wrong icon. So kindly check & let us know how we can show the “+” icon for the Parent Menu of all the 4th Level Sub Menus.

Also, our main concern as of now is that all the 4th Level Sub Menus are always showing instead of only showing on Hover of their Parent Menu. This would probably need some tinkering around in the PHP or JS files.

Kindly revert asap as this issue has been going on for a long time now.

    Hi,

For the moment we don’t have a solution for this matter, but I will assign and speak with one of my colleague’s frontend developer to find a solution for this, we will implement this into the theme.

    Cheers

    Hi,

Yes please implement it in the theme & I would advise you not to keep any ceiling on the Number or Level of Sub Menus/Dropdowns as one never knows how many Dropdowns or Sub Menus the user/client wants to have.
