By default, you have:
<i class=”icon icon-search”></i>
But with this class not display. (pic 1)
So, if you use (the original class): <i class=”fa fa-search” aria-hidden=”true”></i>
You can see a: fl , but not the icon. (pic 2)
Well, something is wrong with the Code. Please, check and update.
