Hi,
I am using Wanp 3.0.6 64 bit as local server for testing purpose and the last WordPress version available on the WordPress site at that time .
I am following the Installation process for sweetdate
First of all as I have tried to add the them of sweatdate to the WordPress site, I got the answer :
“are you sure you want to do this”
I have tried to desactivate the plugin under PHP my Admin, unfortunatly that did not fix the issue.
So I unzip the files and the copied the to the files respectively to :
C:\wamp64\www\wordpress\wp-content\themes\sweetdate
C:\wamp64\www\wordpress\wp-content\themes\sweetdate-child
I have activated the child site
Folowing the process it says :
- The correct theme folder must have the style.css file within the root. i.e. WordPress/sweetdate/style.css
I don’t have the css directly like in the example.
I have check and my css ist underneath the root folders :
.\wp-content\themes\sweetdate
and also under
\themes\sweetdate-child
I asume that it’s correct ?
Can you confirm ?
Do you have any feedback concerning the issue for the theme installation i have mentioned above “are you sure you want to do this”?
Thank you for your feedback

If you don’t have access to the backend you can disable plugins or themes by deleting them or renaming them via FTP (or in your case, because it’s local, your file browser).
At a guess without being able to see it I am guessing you have a file structure that actually looks more like this /wp-content/themes/sweetdate/sweetdate/ and /wp-content/themes/sweetdate-child/sweetdate-child/
If this is the case the files were either not unzipped correctly or not transferred correctly.
You should delete the files you have in your current local installation under /wp-content/themes/ and unzip the theme files again. If you’ve downloaded the full files you can unzip and navigate to /Main Files/Wordpress/sweetdate.zip and /Main Files/Wordpress/sweetdate-child.zip you can use these two files to upload directly via WordPress.
Thanks,
Kieran.

To help others who may encounter the issue when installing the theme
“are you sure you want to do this”I have simply followed the advice from the website https://themesurgeons.com/wordpress-says-are-you-sure-you-want-to-do-this/
But I still have the issue after installing the demo files that the main menu is now a mess and i don’t know how to fix it. see how it looks like in the attachement.
If some one have the answer it would be great 🙂
Thanks in advance

When you go to wp-admin > Appearance > Menus are the menu items all parents or are they parent/child?
If they’re all parents (not nested) then that many menu items far exceeds the space available, try deleting items that are not needed and nesting secondary items under primary items.
For example
– Home
– Forum
— General
— Sci-fi
— Star Trek
— Star Wars
— Horror
– Social
— Activity
— GroupsPlease let me know if this is the case or not.
Thanks,
Kieran.
