There is indeed a link prefilled in the row settings, this is not used unless you enable the option and is given as an example of the link structure required.
YouTube serves URLs in two different ways, one is the full domain (the correct format) https://www.youtube.com/ the other is a shortened version (the incorrect format) https://www.youtu.be/
You can use any URL you like, the setting will not activate unless it is explicitly told to enable YouTube video backgrounds.
