I am finishing up my site, and had a user register. Whenever they post a topic, reply, pretty much anything in the forum it does not appear. It does however increase the forums statistics of hidden topics and hidden replies.
I have tried running all of the buddypress tools to remedy this and nothing. I have also tried deactivating all the plugins except those necessary to the theme and the same result is achieved.
Have you heard of this issue and is there a solution?

May 12, 2014 at 18:31 #17587tijosephParticipantbbress and buddypress. Not certain what you mean. Just installed the recommended plugins as outlined by the theme when installing it.
This is only happening with one certain user registration. I suppose I can create a new one and apply his posts to the new identity when deleting this account, but I am concerned that when the forum grows this will be a reoccurring issue.
@guy_fraser How do I tell if I am using the correct forums?May 12, 2014 at 22:59 #17637guy_fraserParticipantIf you installed recommended plugins then you are using correct forums most likely, but to check…
Go to WP Admin > Settings > BuddyPress > Components tab, click on “Retired” link at top and make sure the groups component is disabled (not ticked).
Next, go to WP Admin > Forums and make sure there is a forum *category* that will act as parent to the BP group forums. (When creating/editing that forum the “Forum Attributes” should have Forum Type = Category)
Note: I also set this category forum to be hidden so that none of the group forums will appear on the main forums list = they can only be accessed via their associated groups.
Go to WP Admin > Settings > Forums and tick “Enable Group Forums” at the bottom of that screen, then make sure the correct forum category is selected as the group forum parent.
That’s basically what I did, if it doesn’t work on your install then it’s probably worth heading over to the bbpress website to see if anyone there knows of a cure. http://bbpress.org/forums/
