Nothing happens when trying to add a custom page title and title area background image of the BuddyPress members and activity feed pages? Is that a bug or to be expected? I am using title area background images on all other pages so it looks funny that these two pages do not have it.

Thanks for reaching out about custom page titles in BuddyPress. Custom page titles do not currently work on BuddyPress pages but you are able to rename the page to anything you desire whilst still keeping the slug as /members/.
Please provide me some login details so I can look at how you have your other pages setup and if there is any CSS I can provide you with
