Hey guys,
since the last update I’m having serious issues with my site. All pages that use the full-width template have issues. All content flows to the edges – which obviously it should not and a variety of WP Bakery Page Builder background elements are not shown anymore.
Now, I’m not sure what’s causing the issue, but I recently updated the theme, along with the WP Bakery Page Builder and WP updated to 4.9.1. So I thought it my be an issue of the Page Builder, hence to narrow the issue down, I’ve downgraded the Page Builder, I’ve downgraded to WP 4.9 and I changed the full-width template file to an old version: None of this has remedied the issue, hence I don’t know anymore what’s causing the issue. But because I can’t downgrade the entire theme – which is unfortunate – I guess it might be an issue with the theme?!
It would be awesome if you could look into what’s causing the trouble, because my landing page looks terrible, as do other key pages 🙁
Thanks so much in advance.
Kind regards, Philip
December 1, 2017 at 01:39 #181618LauraModeratorHello, have you tried using another theme like wordpress default theme? Also with other plugins deactivated?

December 4, 2017 at 17:29 #181927StrothiParticipantDear Laura,
yes, I tried with the standard wordpress themes and not all, but some of the issues remain. So I guess the issue is more with the Page Builder?! KLEO also tells me to install Visual Composer, even though the now called WP Page Builder is installed. Given that the Page Builder is provided with the theme, I’d really like for someone from your end to look into it.
Kind regards, Philip

December 5, 2017 at 13:18 #181992StrothiParticipantI think I’ve an idea what’s causing the issue – or many of them currently: I’m using lots of Kleo specific elements and they are not even displayed anymore in the backend editor. They are entirely gone also when I would try to add new ones.
Some still display because the theme can interpret them, but apparently the new WP Bakery Page Builder does not recognise them anymore with neither the backend nor frontend editor. As a result, in the backend my page looks like a lot of content is missing when I try to edit it – while it’s there in the classic one and gets to be partially displayed on the frontpage.
In other words, the issue is most certainly the interaction between Kleo and the Page Builder!

December 5, 2017 at 18:02 #182030RaduModeratorHi,
Check in wp-admin -> appearance -> install plugins if you have any update notice for k-elements or vc if yes update those plugins, if you still encounter issues, delete the visual composer plugin and k-elements then go back to wp-admin -> appearance -> install plugins and install the plugins again.
Maybe some files are corrupted or cached, that’s i’ve suggested you to delete and re-install
Let me know
Cheers

I did it before and I have done it now again, deleted both K Elements and VC and the issues unfortunately remain 🙁 Any other idea?
Kind regards, Philip
December 6, 2017 at 15:12 #182106RaduModeratorHmmm
I see
That’s wiredunder row settings you should have the inner row option where you are able to set yes or not
I recommend you to activate a default wp theme then to go via ftp to wp-content/themes/ rename kleo folder to kleo-backup then download it on your local computer and delete it from FTP, then re-download the newest version of the theme from theme forest and install it again.
In the past (4-5-6 months ago) we havd a similar thing caused by visual composer templating structure but was fixed immediately and maybe you have some old theme files there, just replace it
Let me know

I don’t even get the setting you mean. See screenshot:
How is it that my editor is different from yours?
Kind regards, Philip
December 6, 2017 at 15:42 #182112StrothiParticipantWhat I see is also equal to what they show here: https://wpbakery.com/video-academy/full-width-row/
The problem is, my default is not acting properly. Your editor looks to me like an older version of the WP Bakery Page Builder?!
December 6, 2017 at 16:19 #182115StrothiParticipantSo, I just did what you asked, replaced all Kleo files with the ones downloaded from Themeforest. I even tried to see whether switching from my child theme to the original would make any difference: It does not! Problem is still the same 🙁
December 6, 2017 at 16:43 #182117RaduModeratorHi,
My visual composer version it’s 5.4.2 also to can have the option that i marked in the screenshot you should have k-elements plugin activated , but i see you have it already
Can you please provide FTP credentials in a private reply to investigate further ?
Cheers

December 7, 2017 at 16:36 #182235RaduModeratorHi,
I’ve noticed that if i de-activate all plugins the k-elements options appears there, also no other kleo elements appears under visual composer.
Please de-activate all plugins then enable back one by one while you check what the plugin causes lack of the options
Let me know, i’ve tried to make that but you have to many plugins and it take very long time
Cheers
R.Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionDecember 7, 2017 at 16:45 #182236StrothiParticipantDear Radu,
but if I deactivate all plugins (except for VC, K-Elements & Maintenance Mode), the elements still don’t show up and the issue with the template is also not resolved?! So I very much doubt that this is a conflict with plugins on the side?!
Kind regards, Philip
December 7, 2017 at 17:03 #182240StrothiParticipantThe issue has to be with the Page Builder! For the template for example, if I don’t use VC, the text is correctly positioned. If I use the same text and put it in a VC row, it immediately moves out of the container. Why the k-elements don’t show up, I don’t know. But it is an issue with VC and it not working properly for some reason.
December 7, 2017 at 18:24 #182260RaduModeratorHI,
I see, did you have possibility to change the php version from 7.x.x to 5.6 version just to test if it works like this ?
You can ask on hosting support.
Let me know.
Cheers
R.Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionDecember 7, 2017 at 19:17 #182273StrothiParticipantRunning on 5.6 now, doesn’t make a difference 🙁
December 8, 2017 at 14:54 #182349StrothiParticipantI don’t think k elements are causing the issue. If I deactivate it, I still have the issue with the page builder causing the pages to go beyond the container. Which is the key issue to solve for me.
Why k elements elements are not showing up in the Page Builder is then the next thing to solve, but it’s not so much impacting my site as the first issue!
December 8, 2017 at 18:06 #182388RaduModeratorHi,
K elements adds those options in VC and also our shortcodes
Now i’ve de-activated all plugins at once then i’ve activated visual composer and then K-elements and the option it’s shown
and our shortcodes
Active plugins:
That’s very odd, you will have to do the same, it’s important to activate one by one not 2,3 or 4 at once then immediately to check by refreshing the page and to add new row and look for the options.
Ps: activate the cache plugin the latest one to not interfere with the cache in someway.
Let me know!!
I will activate back all plugins.
Cheers
R.Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionDecember 8, 2017 at 18:18 #182389StrothiParticipantOk, thanks. That’s indeed really weird, because I did exactly that yesterday and didn’t change a thing. Will do again, this time one by one and report back!
December 10, 2017 at 19:25 #182578StrothiParticipantFound the issue: It was a conflict between the plugin Plugin Organizer and K Elements. It’s unfortunate, because the plugin really helps speed up the site with all the plugins that I have running, hence I hope a future update will resolve the issue.
@Radu Thank so much for your help, highly appreciated!December 11, 2017 at 18:09 #182693RaduModeratorHi,
You’re welcome
You can ask the Plugin Organizer devs if they have any clues about this or if they know a common reason for that happening or a function or filter to exclude k-elements plugin to be handled by their plugin
Cheers
