Hi,
It’s possible to register directly from the landing page signup?
I don’t want to add any profile field in the register form, it will be only user/mail/pass, the rest of the fields will be completed once the register is done, in the profile page.
Can I register from the first page avoiding the /register/ page?.
Also, this signup windows, does not carry the email nor the password. it only autocomplete the name for the /register/ page. It’s why i want to avoid one of the steps.
Can you help?

I have looked at your site and it appears that you do not have the default behavior for the registration modal. Have you edited this in the SweetDate Child or SweetDate Parent theme? If you have not please try the disable all plugins except for BuddyPress and Elementor, clear your cache and see if the default behavior returns. If it does enable each plugin one by one and test until you find the issue.
Thanks,
Kieran

I have disabled all the plugins, the behaviour is still the same, with user and e-mail it works fine, with password it doesnt.
1- Do we have a way to remove the password fields from the first form?

Q :It’s possible to register directly from the landing page signup?
R: Not really, only if you don’t have buddypress installed.

Q: Can I register from the first page avoiding the /register/ page?.
R: Yes, if you don’t have any field under wo-admin -> users -> profile fields or you don’t have buddypress installed.

I do not understand the last question, can you show me a screenshot for that ?

Thanks for your feedback.
I can show with screenshots:
this is the landing page:
Pressing “Sign UP” goes to:
As you can see in this screenshot we get the username, the e-mail, but not the password from the landing page.
We don’t want our users fill the password 4 times (password and confirmation) to register.
We need your help to:
– Fix this issue with the password from the landing page;
or
– Suggest other possible way is to change/remove the password from the landing page, and make users fill it only in the /register/ page.
We can always remove the signup in the landing page and use a button to redirect to the page /register/.Thoughts?
Best regards,

Via FTP go to wp-content/themes/sweetdate-child/buddypress/members/ and create a file named register.php in that you will paste this code : https://pastebin.com/raw/3ffA0xzY
If the folders missing in child theme create them.
NOTE : Child theme needs to be installed and activated.
Empty all caches!
Let me know
