    Hello

I updated to the latest theme last month and am very happy with the improvements, fixes and smaller js & css files. Great work!

However, since I updated to the latest theme, I have had a few problems: Most, I have fixed already, but I do not know if I can fix the pagination problem

If I try to go to Page 2, I get the ‘

Error 404 – Page not found’

    Hi,

Hi, sorry to hear you’re having issues with permalinks. Can you update this ticket, in a private reply, with temporary admin credentials so I can take a closer looks at this issue please?

    Thanks,

    Kieran

    Hi,

You need to create and assign a page to use for posts. Please try the following

    1. Create a new page in WP Admin > Pages > Add New. Title the page whatever you wish

    2. Assign the page to use as the posts page by going to WP Admin > Settings > Reading > ‘Your homepage displays’ and select your newly created page from the posts page dropdown.

Once you have saved this changed please clear your cache(s) and visit your posts page and/or category page(s) and the pagination should work.

    Thanks,

    Kieran

Thank you for the suggestion, but this will not work for me, because I have 2 pages that list different posts by category (books and news). i do not want the one page to show all

    Hi,

Posts will not work properly until a page is assigned to house all of the posts as you have set the option to use a static page. You do not need to show this page to users and you can continue showing the individual category archive pages to users.

    Kieran.

I have done as you recommended, but still this page fails:

…however, my new page (https://mybooktravels.com/literary-news/page/2/) works fine. But it shows ALL categories and I only want to show news

    Hi,

The correct link to only show posts that have the category of news is https://mybooktravels.com/news/.

However it does appear there is still an issue with pagination. I’m going to refer this ticket to a developer for you for review, they’ll be in touch with you as soon as they can, Monday to Friday, East European Time.

    Thanks,

    Kieran

I understand. And thank you for escalating this. I will continue to fiddle and maybe hack a solution, but I would prefer clarification from SeventhQueen, as this functionality should be working as it did, out-of-the-box before the update. Thanks again. Good night

    Hi,

It looks that all works as it should.

Accessing https://mybooktravels.com/2/ will redirect you to https://mybooktravels.com/news/2/ .

And only posts from news are displayed

Not pretty sure what was the issue there.

    Cheers

    Hello Radu

There was a problem on standard blog pages, so I created new pages and inserted the kleo posts as embedded content with ‘load more’ instead of pagination. I am actually quite happy with the way they look, so I will leave it for now. But, if I ever decide to use pagination again and it fails, I will contact you again. Thank you for your response
