Hello community,
I’m using the Kleo theme associated with PaidMembership Pro for content restriction for members.
My issue is the following :
When I publish a new member-only article, it appears well on the home page that I created with WPBackery.
But that I go in a category thanks to the menu, for example “Cuisine” in French, the articles reserved for the members do not appear.
You will be able to see in image, the difference of posting between the members and the non-members, without the category.
My question is :
Where can I set this display in the theme?
Thanks for your help.

February 16, 2018 at 09:46 #188849UlrichGenissonParticipanthello,
thanks for your answer, but that’s not an answer to my question 🙁The articles reserved for members, are perfectly visible to non-members, on the home page for example. I invite you to check: https://eatfat2befit.com/
for exemple this article, is not visible https://eatfat2befit.com/kefir-de-lait-lchf in its category https://eatfat2befit.com/category/cuisine/astuces for non members, while he is well on the home page.
I speak only of the visibility, in the categories via the menus, or they are absent …

February 19, 2018 at 11:22 #189130LauraModeratorHello, can you share screenshots then of the settings you have for the membership, the category that should display… Make sure to be testing with an user of that level

February 19, 2018 at 11:40 #189133UlrichGenissonParticipantHello,
It seems you did not understand the problem.I will therefore repeat differently:
I have a site, which uses restricted publications to members.
Some publications are public and others are restricted to members who have paid for membership.I use PaidMembership to handle this.
Thus, in each article, I have the possibility or not to choose “member”. If “member” is checked, then the article is only visible to members, and non-members only see a “summary” of the article. The image put forward is visible, and the ticket is shareable on social networks for example.
The articles reserved for members, are visible in Home Page, because I made this Home page with WP backery and that poses no problem.
My only problem comes from menus and categories. When I go to the menu, not being connected to the site, so as if I was a non-member, I do not see the article, it does not appear. I made a screenshot to my first post to show you the difference in posting between a member and a non member.
So I think it’s a theme problem and not a setup problem with paidmembership.
thank you.

February 21, 2018 at 16:19 #189346RaduModeratorHi,
Related to this scenario thaht you explain
My only problem comes from menus and categories. When I go to the menu, not being connected to the site, so as if I was a non-member, I do not see the article, it does not appear. I made a screenshot to my first post to show you the difference in posting between a member and a non member.
So I think it’s a theme problem and not a setup problem with paidmembership.
Tell me if you encounter the same issue using default wp theme
Cheers

this site is in production with Kleo.
I do not have the opportunity to knowFebruary 21, 2018 at 17:23 #189369RaduModeratorI see but it may be a general issue or not and it’s good to check , so you will have to check if the same behaviour happens using default wp theme that can be activated from wp-admin -> appearance -> themes.
Cheers

Mark as a solutionFebruary 21, 2018 at 17:31 #189370UlrichGenissonParticipantit’s a site with several thousand paying subscribers. I can not technically take that risk! I must be a serious minimum.
You should know whether or not this display option is determined by the theme you are selling.
see for yourself please:
You are not a member of the site, so see this article: https://eatfat2befit.com/kefir-de-lait-lchf
can be seen here in Home page: https://eatfat2befit.com/
But is not visible in the category: https://eatfat2befit.com/category/cuisine
February 21, 2018 at 18:33 #189389RaduModeratorHi,
I see, in this case if the site it’s live and lot of traffic it’s recommend to to that on a development install like cloning all but on a testing subdomain, there you can safe test with default wp theme. We need to check this before start to debug because if may be something unrelated to kleo and to be something between pmpro and wp.
Cheers
