    Hi there

    WordPress Version: 4.9.4

    BuddyPress Version: 2.9.3

     

    The website cannot be viewed without the site password.  I have attached the site password in the private area below.

     

    Issue 1, Group Profile Image

    When I upload a profile image to a group, the image loads but displays just a little sliver, in other words, it shows the correct height but only a very narrow width.  It looks as though the image has aligned to the far left of the screen so it’s not completely visible.  Please see the screenshot below.

     

    Issue 2, Group Cover Image

    When I upload a cover, although my cover is larger than 940px x 225px, as recommended by the theme, I still receive an onscreen notice telling me that my image has to be larger than the above.  Once I had uploaded the image, I received a successful submission onscreen notice but the cover does not display at all as can be verified by the screenshot.

    Out of curiosity, I decided the test the group images on the theme 2017 and it seems to work, please see the below screenshot.

    Hi Laura

    I see what you mean, there appears to be a problem with the database, I can’t get my URL to work. I decided to reinstall the Sweetdate theme I tried many times but unfortunately, it would not load, please see the screenshot.

    Is it possible to have a fresh link so that I can download it again? I have to build the site all over again.

    Since I reinstalled the theme the Group images have become visible.

    I do however need help with outdated templates in WooCommerce, please see my screenshot showing the notice.

    Hello, do you have any issues with woocommerce? That notice is visible when woocommerce update some templates and our theme has outdated ones, but that should not be an issue. We will update them with the next update as we always do. If you encounter any issue with woocommerce please let me know 🙂

    I have not tried to set-up woocommerce yet, I have always seen that notice from the first day I installed the theme.

    Laura, I have found another bug, for some reason, some tabs in my main menu keep redirecting to a different page, I don’t understand why. E.G. The members tap redirects to price, strange.

    Hello, you could deactivate woocommerce if you are not going to have a shop, if you will, then you need to update the theme

    For the redirection, it could be a restriction you have setup at theme options, make sure you dont have the members page restricted to only paid memberships pro members, that would be the reason

    Lol… forgive me Laura, I’ve not been well and have not been thinking straight. If I was thinking properly I would have known why the page re-directed.

    OK regarding emails, since I rebuilt the website, When I sign-up as a new member or even try to log in as an existing member who has forgotten their log-in details, I don’t receive any email at all. Have I forgotten a setting somewhere, I can’t see that I have?

    Hi Laura

    Is there any other way of fixing my email without adding yet another plugin, there are already far too many?

    I have no issues sending and receiving emails directly via outlook, however, although the WP dashboard shows that emails have been sent out, however, emails no longer work with the theme, they are never received.

    Hi Laura

    No matter how many times I select the search form for my home page, (please see the attached screenshot), it shows the home Sign-Up modal for none members. I have decided that it is far better to show the search form for both logged in and new users. Why won’t the settings work for me?

    Hello, the homepage section of the theme is deprecated and no longer used, now we use Elementor editor, so you should leave that section blank in order to work correctly. I can help you setup your homepage if you have issues 🙂

    About the plugin, the theme does not control emails or send them, that is actually from your server, and as a server issue, we can’t do nothing more than suggest you to use smtp plugin or contact your provider to check php email

    Regarding emails, I am sending you 2 screenshots of many test emails received by setting it up through Sweetdate. It was working before I reinstalled the theme.

    I got the email to work without the plugin. I just need some advice to change it from saying wordpress@newfriends2go.com to support@newfriends2go.com.

    Like I said above Laura, I do need help with the home page and search modal.

    My homepage is already set all I want to do is remove the “Create an Account” Home Modal and just have the “Home Search” Home Modal on the home default page for both new and logged in members.

    I tried playing around with a clone website using elementor but I accidentally removed both modals, so that’s why I need your help.

    It doesn’t work, I have to upload an earlier back-up to the main site because no modal is showing to a logged out members, the search modal only show for logged in members. There must be a setting Laura, please advise?

    Hi Laura

    The fact that it’s taking so long to sort this issue is giving me the impression that you are misunderstanding what I am trying to achieve. Please look at the attachment, a screenshot of your demo website which shows exactly what I have been asking for. If the homepage section of the theme was not deprecated I would have been able to make these changes with the drop-down menu.

    There is no point in asking me to delete a model without explaining how to attach the correct modal to the logged out page. I know how to create the search modal but I have issues putting it on the right page. I end up having two on the log in page and nothing on the logged-out page. If a person is logged in or logged out they should see the search modal on the home default page.

    I hope this is clear and can be sorted out in just one message.

    The second image in the screenshot should not appear. It’s redundant.

    1 enter your details to reset
    2 receive an email link
    3 you reset your details and login with your new info. That’s normal
