Dear Support Team,
My community just realized that there seems to be a bug in the private messaging function. Whenever a user sends a private message to another user, other recipients get included in that conversation. Somtimes this is a deleted user, sometimes it is an active user.
I tried to load backups of SweetDate and Buddypress but couldn’t solve the issue nor figure out what causes the problem.
An example is given in the screenshot attached. As you can see it says “Gespräch zwischen you, Gelöschter Benutzer, Udo Florian und Lucie Florian und Dir.”
But the user Udo and Lucie intended to only send each other a private message, however I and a deleted user was included in the conversation. When I sent a message to another test user the error occured again, it included a deleted user into the conversation. The error now occurs for every new private message.
Could you have a look at the issue? You can log into the backend with the credentials provided below.
