Hi there again, thanks for the response recently on the issue with CF7.

This time around, for the life of me, I can not work out the flow and set up for the recommended plugins, in particular places, membership pro and buddypress.

The site is for a Chamber of Commerce & Industry where there are over 400 members. I want each member to be able to signup and register but have to pay as they go. Once in there they can create their place (Business Profile) and their Personal Profile (Buddy press which I presume is the main registration point?)

My problem is, I can’t do it 🙁 I have tried everything, even now I notice that the custom field I added to the registration page disappears on load.

If these three plugins are not meant to work together I must have read it all wrong. oops 🙂 I am a week behind now as I am stuck on this and keep pushing it back lol

    Hi,

All three of these plugins (assuming you mean GeoDirectory when you say Places) can work together. BuddyPress should indeed be the entry point, with Paid Memberships Pro setup behind it so a user must select a package. I am not sure that Paid Memberships Pro and Geo Directory integrate though. You can of course restrict the add new places pages to certain membership levels which will give you the membership aspect for GeoDirectory.

I cannot log into your site to see the setup you currently have as you have a database error which needs to be resolved.

    Thanks,

    Kieran.

Ok, their db server was down…. All good to go now.And yes, what you mentioned is exactly how we want it for the client but i cant seem to get this happening. Also, the navigation appears to stand alone for GD and there is no way to allocate that in menu to where we might want it to go.

Anyway, your help would be amazing as I have tried everything. 🙂

    Hi,

To enable restrictions for BuddyPress for users who do not have a membership (logged out) or to exclude certain membership types functionality please go to WP Admin > Theme Options > Memberships and configure to suit your requirements.

Your new listing page is located at http://gcci.interactin.com.au/add-business-profile/ so you will be able to add a menu item by going to WP Admin > Appearance > Menus and then selecting the page ‘Add Business Profile’ from the ‘Pages’ panel on the left – make sure to click the ‘View All’ tab of ‘Pages’ panel if you do not immediately see the page.

You can disable the automatic addition of GeoDirectory’s menu items by going to WP Admin > GeoDirectory > Design > Tab: Navigation > Option: ‘Show geodirectory navigation in selected menu locations’ and click the X on any/all menus selected that you do not wish to automatically add to.

To restrict this page to only certain membership types you can go to Pages > All Pages and open ‘Add Business Profile’ on the right side of the screen. under the publish/save buttons, you will see another panel titled ‘Require Membership’, select as per your requirements.

    Thanks,

    Kieran

    Thanks so much.

Still having issues with the following though. If I choose to only allow certain pages for members, we have 5 different member types. Basically I would need to choose all as all member types have access to the same info. But if I choose all, that would mean they have to be a member of all those options?

I can work out also how to get the membership payment to be part of registration?

And finally, the login screen for members takes them to the /wp-admin login screen. Is it not possible to have them logging in from within the site. They start with that but it redirects them to /wp-admin.

Sorry to be a pain 🙂 Im not i promise.

    Hi,

Logout, purge all of your browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Del) except for form data and passwords, close the browser and restart / login. I checked and I can see all of your membership levels within PMPRO and within KLEO.

If you have 5 membership levels and select all 5 levels for page/post/kleo then a user would have to have one of those five membership levels. I do not believe it is even possible to have more than one membership level.

If you set up your options the way I described above the next step after registration and activation is payment / membership level select. Currently there is not out of the box solution to make the membership level and payment part of the BuddyPress register page and you would need to hire a developer to achieve this for you if that is what you wanted.

It looks like you were not using the dynamic KLEO login, register and logout menu items. I have altered this for you and it should now work as intended. Please check for yourself. Also you will need to add any icons again to the new menu items in the top menu.

    Thanks,

    Kieran
