Hello, so I have only installed the theme over the past 2 years (due to errors and learning) and no experience with updating. In recent events of things not working due to not updating a plugin, and reading a lot on the subject, it seems best to update rather then ignore like I have been, theme, wordpress, some plugins. My site install uses a folder called Sweet Date Clean so I am concerned that updating the theme may effect me in different ways. You can see in my css child that it is extensively long due to input from Radu and issues the site had since the 2.0 version (an overhaul from what I originally bought).

Would like to know the process in updating the theme and due to my set up if there are any foreseeable issues.

Also in regards to backing up the site, are there any advice anyone can give in regards to not losing the pages like in forums, blog, members profiles?

    Thanks

Hello, I suggest to clone the site and do the updates or get a backup before doing it, your hosting provider should help you with that, for the updating, go to theme options to export your current settings, if you have custom changes done to the child theme, they won’t be lost but maybe some won’t work as the outdated templates are no longer supported.

So you may need to replace changes with the new templates.

Everything else is like a normal update and you should not lose any post, page or forum
