My buddyapp login form has been giving me some problems. It doesn’t sign in the user after they filled in their login details.
So what I did was prune plugins that might cause the issue. I deactivated most plugins then I turn them on one by one. No plugin caused the issue as the login form worked. However after logging out and quickly logging in again, it stopped working. Then I deleted the cache (I use wp super cache) and it worked however went back to the problem of not signing users in.
The last step I took was to purchase the Youzer plugin from Kainelabs as it pimps out your activity, group, membership forum page and it has a login and registration form. I’ve tried using their form but same issue.
The last issue I’ve notice is when new users try to activate their new account, they get redirected to a page that ask for an activation code and not their profile or activation welcome page.

This issue with activating users asking code was patched in previous versions please update the theme and let me know

My theme is up to date however it still give me the problem. I’ve noticed that I had to delete cache every time however that was a temporary fix. So I’ve changed the WP Super Cache plugin to W3 Total Cache. It was working better however logging out for almost two hours and logging in again. The problem occurs again.

Not sure why cuz on our test from version 1.5.6 that was fixed…
You may try to re-generate buddypress emails from wp-admin -> tools -> buddypress ->
TRy to add on the cache plugin in exception list the /activation page if it makes cache problems.

I managed to fix the activation code issue. Problem is that it doesn’t login anymore (stays on the login page.)

I did a test. The login only works with the Google Chrome browser. Firefox, Opera, Opera Mini, Safari and Microsoft Edge don’t login. I don’t know if this info will assist.

and it works…
Try to re-download the theme and to re-install it aso you may try to re-generate the API key of the facebook app
