Hello –
we had updated our site with 250,000 users and now it is taking forever to load.
Also The slider is now below the create an account and search. The images in the carousel are not viewable and the slider should be on the top. I am also trying to figure out how to add “search by state” and cannot figure out in Elementor how to do that. I had placed facebook APP ID for the login, and it is showing # and not working.
Hello, for your website load speed, you may need a bigger server for that amount of users, the theme doesnt manage users its the server and wordpress who stores them so we cant do much here. You could also use a CDN
At elementor you can add a search form using BP Profile search

Can you share a screenshot of the app settings so i can check it out?”what does that mean – what screenshot are you requesting? If you go to the website homepage the header slider is now below the search, and the activity images are small, and I had requested the correct size.
Hello, at Users – BP Profile fields, edit the members search form to add any field to it liek the search by state.
I am trying to check your homepage but it is taking a lot to load, it still didnt for me. Can you deactivate some plugins and check if the load speed improves? Then i could check the homepage slider issue
About facebook, the screenshot i wanted is the facebook app details

Hello – the site is loading good now. But still have issues mentioned. The sizing of the images for activity and how to make a grid (do I just create a table) ? About what i said, At Users – Profile fields you have all the fields of your users, like name, i am a, looking for a…. There you can add the State field at the BASE group ( you will see it once you go there )
Then at Users – Profile Search, you should see the member search form, click edit and add a new field, which is the new State field you created, save and that’s all

The images are generated with that black part in it…

Did you had installed any plugin that manipulates the images/avatars ? Or used any function that handles the user avatars ? If yes turn off just to test.
Also de-activate child theme if you running, to can figure out from where the issue comes.
You can deactivate all plugins if it’s the same, maybe one of the plugins does that.Cheers

No I have not installed any avatar image plugin. I am not aware of any function that handles avatars. I do not believe we are using a child theme.
I am also using Cloudflare CDN originally when the suggestion was made to why my site is running slow – and now purchased Cloudflare PRO – and checked plugins – but still the site is taking time in admin.

The avatars seems to be generated in some way with that black space there..

It slows loading because the server process slow the request, the website homepage loads faster not because they caches that.
Try to re-upload a photo that it’s normal without black space in it to test if it works correctly. So there seems to be a problem with those dummy avatars.

Mark as a solutionHello – as I have mentioned, I DO NOT have any images with the black space, so I have no idea what you mean about uploading images without black space. I have attached same images that I had uploaded to groups – I have also tried many other sizes and types of images, with the same black result.
I understand ok,
I had tested using default wp theme to can see if our theme causes that and the issue seesm to be caused by something else, most sure a plugin, if you have any plugins that optimize the image in any way it may be the reason, try to de-activate all plugins off and check if they are looking ok, it they are the same the thumb may be regenerated, or upload as a avatar a new image.
