Hi Guys
uh sorry about this but maybe you can help us out a bit.
Our site is quite busy, as such our pages were pulling in around 6 seconds which is not too bad. We wanted to try to get it down a bit so we upgraded our server. Since the move, our pages are now pulling in around 50 seconds which is a nightmare.
Our host is making excuses and trying to blame this and that – when our code is exactly the same code that was pulling in 6 seconds on the previous server. Nothing has changed, only the server.
Our host is currently blaming the item-likes-postfix function on Kleo, for the degradation in speed. I don’t believe it (yesterday, it was a different plugin, then it wasn’t), unfortunately I have to go through this dance with them like I have to every time we upgrade the server. This function was running fine on the previous server.
Given that, is there any way I can disable that function? Even if I have to temporarily hack it out of the code, just to show that this is not the cause. Any help you can offer would be appreciated, thanks.

December 6, 2018 at 15:05 #214832RaduModeratorHi,
You can control that under wp-admin -> theme options -> social share
Switch off the ajax one and maybe the second one Enable post likes* -> OFF those should completely turn off the feature.
Cheers

thats great thanks for your assistance.
I don’t suppose there are any other parts of the theme that you can recommend disabling for performance? I have turned off sitewide animations already, anything else please let me know and I will try it thanks.

You can check under wp-admin -> theme options -> modules and speed , you can set off the shortcodes that you don’t run or need it. also you can install and run a report for the website and see what script runs longer.
