am I right that the search results and the matching got nothing to do with each other?
The matching is only by switching theough the profiles, right?

The search feature for BuddyPress from the plugin BP Profile Search and the matching feature from SweetDate are not connected in any way.
The matching feature shows the percentage you are matched when viewing another users profile.
