Slider shortcode not working

Hi,

I would love to use the slider shortcode for some photos, but every time I input the shortcode into a page the photo is the correct size but there’s a giant white vertical space between the pics and the arrows and it pushes all my other content below the arrows. It’s about 900 pixels of blank space. I’ve had to use a temporary slideshow plugin while I figure this out.

Any ideas?
