Registration Activation Link

Hi,

I have my entire site set up to be private. I am using the Members plugin to achieve this using the setting “Redirect all logged-out users to the login page before allowing them to view the site.”

This was working great until I realized the activation link in the new user registration email doesn’t work when the site is private. When a new user registers and clicks the activation link in the email, he/she is redirected to the WP login page (which is what I want), but it doesn’t not actually “activate” the user. Nothing happens. This means no admin email notification is triggered – which is necessary because I need admins to be notified so they can either approve or deny a user registration.

When I turn off the private site feature, the activation link works, but then users are not directed to the wp login page and the site is not a truly private site.

Is there a work around for this? Thanks in advance.
