Hello,
I have a problem with thumbnails in my masonry galleries appearing blurred and distorted. The images do not appear distorted on the activity feed or within the posts, although some of them do appear blurred in the media section of the dashboard. I have attached images to view the problem.
I have tried updating the theme and wordpress.
In researching the problem I saw that regenerating thumbnails may help but before I try that I would like to know if any suggestions you may have or if anyone has a solution.
Thank you,

The initial pictures, before uploading them in WordPress, where looking right? I checked your website and you don’t have this problem to all of them and the source image looks blurred as default…
Thank you,
CatalinHi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionOctober 8, 2014 at 01:57 #31024TheNHAParticipantThe problem I am having is dynamic, it seems.
None of the raw photo files are pixelated or distorted.
Upon upload, some pictures but not all of them appear pixelated in the media library.
When the images are live on the site they do not appear pixelated in post but they are pixelated as featured images image.
Compounding the problem is that some of the images that were uploaded clearly will display pixelated and some of the images that were uploaded pixelated will display clearly.
I am very confused about what might be happening and I am going to look and see if there are any issues with any plug ins i have installed.
I also tried a plug in to regenerate thumbnails and that worked for all of the photos that were pixelated in the media gallery but now they still show as pixelated on the live site featured image.
Anyone have any ideas or a similar situation/solution.
Thank you.
October 8, 2014 at 02:22 #31025sharmstrModeratorAre all the problem images hosted on cloudfront.net? Maybe when resizing the images there’s an issue with network latency and not all of the image data is saved? Just guessing here.

The reason why the images look good in your media manager after regenerating your images and look terrible on the front end is probably a caching issue. I’m guessing there is an expiration setting for cloudfront and its still serving the older image?
