I tried and it works, the link no longer appears. The problem is that it no longer appears to the administrator. The administrator must be able to add and remove avatar.

I can only remove the avatar from users> extended profile.
There are no buttons: add an avatar.

You’ll have to use bp_core_remove_subnav_item( ‘slug’, ‘subnav-slug’ )
