ParticipantHi,
I’ve been looking into this and can’t seem to find a way to remove the mandatory ‘username’ field. I would ideally like to replace this with the name field in profile details but happy if they could log in with their username.
From what I have seen the wp-email-login plugin seems like it should solve this problem but when I installed it. It said that it would just allow me to login to wordpress with an email address.
Does anyone have any suggestions on this or how to make this plugin work and delete the required field.
Thanks!

KeymasterHi, unfortunately that is needed for BuddyPress to work since it is the user identifier.

ParticipantHi Abe, if it is not possible to change would it be possible to change the wording ‘Username’ to ‘Email’ in the registration/sign-up forms?
Thanks

Keymaster@mlennox10 I don’t know if it will work but the template is located under kleo/buddypress/members/register.php
