Okay first off, let me say that I am well versed in graphic design and have built/posted websites in the past. I bought your Sweetdate theme and am trying to design a dating website that is hosted on godaddy.
I have spent 4 days now, trying to determine, build, design a simple dating website from this theme. I do not want a blog or discussion and have no idea how to get rid of it.
I have a lot of issues and I’ll try to list them:
1.) get rid of the blog, discussion, and built in things for sale – I only need upgrade options.
2.) Every time I list the sign up form/search form on main page, I am limited to only using a few fields there and then cannot use that form on another page like the search members page with all fields without it affecting the front page form. THIS IS SO CONFUSING.
3.) There is no WYSIWYG editor…..there are forms and codes that I have no idea where they post or originate from.December 24, 2014 at 10:18 #40228TheNewGuyParticipantOne of my main issues— I would like to make multiple search forms. On the front page, If I add the search form for “I’m a male, Looking for a Female, Age XX-XX, In City XX” I have to limit the amount of profile fields to that, because if I use that form in the Search for members page, I can’t click more profile fields without them being added to the front page form. Very confusing. I should be able to make separate forms for each page or area where needed with their own separate fields and I can’t.
Secondly, You NEED a “Search Within XX Miles of Zip XXXXX” Field that works. This is a dating site template and I have never seen a site without it. That also should be a field that can be added to ANY form created.

2. You can edit it in Sweetdate > Buddypress in horizontal and vertial form, checking the fields that are shown.
3. The WYSIWYG is not something this theme changes, so if you dont see it is probably something related to any plugin or custom code. You can create all the fields you want using also a plugin that adds extra functionality like https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-xprofile-custom-fields-type/
More range fields would require editing theme logics that maybe will be in a future update.Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionLaura Solanes - Graphic Designer and Web Designer

December 26, 2014 at 02:23 #40375TheNewGuyParticipantIn reference to #2.) I’m aware that you can check the profile fields that you want shown in your forms. The problem is that I only want 4 fields to show on the front page form in a vertical format. I would like to have the vertical form show on a “Search Members” form in an extended form with all the fields shown. When I do that, the front page form changes to all the fields shown at that point instead of just the original 4.
December 26, 2014 at 05:55 #40377LauraModeratorHello, that is because is the same form, so you cannot have the same form with different fields, i sugges to use the horizontal form instead.
