Hi, I can’t tell if this issue has been resolved by others in here, but my member carousel on the home page is grabbing the full resolution avatar instead of the thumbnail. See here: http://saintnook.com/
In visual composer, I set it to thumbnail, but it’s not respecting it. Because my profiles are to be shared on social networks, I added code to bp-custom.php to make the avatars larger (featured images):
COPY CODEdefine ( 'BP_AVATAR_THUMB_WIDTH', 150 ); define ( 'BP_AVATAR_THUMB_HEIGHT', 150 ); define ( 'BP_AVATAR_FULL_WIDTH', 620 ); define ( 'BP_AVATAR_FULL_HEIGHT', 620 ); define ( 'BP_AVATAR_ORIGINAL_MAX_WIDTH', 620 );
Am I doing it wrong?

I am also able to find the thumbnails at 150px in the images directory.
The question I have now is why the members carousel is not pulling the thumbnail when I specify that in Visual Composer?
January 29, 2015 at 13:43 #43930RaduModeratorHello,
Replace this file \wp-content\plugins\k-elements\shortcodes\templates\buddypress\kleo_bp_members_carousel.php with ( see attachment )
Let me know if it works.

November 13, 2015 at 16:50 #87125RaduModeratorAfter you upload an avatar you are asked if you want to crop image.
