Your user uploaded a portrait size image. I believe this is fixed in the next release.

It is a problem probably from a plugin you are using that is taking probably Facebook avatar and not retrieving it square.

@ SeventhQueen we do our best to have super happy customers. Thanks for being our customer.@Abe It was never square it’s always been round, I have not added any Facebook plug-ins? I myself uploaded 6 different images of all sizes, I could not reproduce the distorting image above, you say it’s not a theme issue, I beg to differ, as I said, I’ve tried a combination of things trying to reproduce, couldn’t.
Please don’t just say it’s a plug-in issue when you have no idea what I’ve tried, I’ve turned off all plug-ins, didn’t do a thing, I turned off everything but what came with the theme, no problems, i turned on all my plugins, still no problems, just one image out of 82 is displaying incorrectly.
Don’t you find this behavior a bit odd?
It is odd since Buddypress avatars are square and that one obviously isn’t so try and see how it was uploaded, maybe you use a plugin for something like that

@ SeventhQueen we do our best to have super happy customers. Thanks for being our customer.@Abe I turned off all plug-ins but what came with the theme, I then uploaded 12 different images of all shapes and sizes, no issues.
I turned back on all my plug-ins, then uploaded the same 12 images, once again couldn’t replicate the problem.
So then to dig deeper I had the gentleman send me the photo that busted the theme, I uploaded it with all plug-ins on and didn’t have any issues.
So diagnosis is unknown, btw, I never do anything in vane 🙂
I said that since the image is already uploaded like that, just disabling the plugins won’t help.

As I stated, I turned off all plug-ins except for the plug-ins that came with the theme, then I uploaded 16 different images of all heights and widths and was unable to reproduce the issue.
This issue is NOT closed, I’m not sure why you mark issues as closed when there has been no solution or explanation as to why this occurred??????
This is the third “Closed” topic where my answer was never answered, rather dismissed.

It seems you don’t want to understand what I am saying but I will repeat again. This can’t be theme related since you disabled the extra plugins and re-uploaded the images and all went well. So based on your experiment it is definitely plugin/code related since normal BuddyPress behavior is to crop square avatars.So bottom line is that we do care about any problems clients might encounter with the theme and fix them all but something like your request above is beyond my power to guess what is the cause of your not square avatar.
And you can always reply to Resolved topics, change status and even reply to Closed ones.
So please try understand the purpose of this forum
