When Buddypress AND Buddypress Cover Photo are installed, things are fine!
However! When, for whatever reason, I disable Buddypress – my site goes down. Chances are that BP Cover Photo is not conditionally running “IF” Buddypress is active and therefore causes a conflict.?!?

yep, I’ve just found the same thing… I’ve just done a fresh install of w/p and the Kleo theme, and thought I’d install the recommended plugins in the order they’re suggested by the theme installer – and bingo! I can’t access anything else (front or backend)! If it’s any help the error it shows is this:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_is_my_profile() in /home/xyz/public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress-cover-photo/buddypress-cover-photo.php on line 273
I presume it’s OK to just delete this plugin directly from my plugins folder on the server? As this option occasionally messes up other settings I’ll wait for your confirmation before deleting it. And if, not please suggest recommended option.
