My cover photos and profile photos are no longer showing on users profiles.
Here’s what I did right before they went missing…..
I wanted to make the text that displays a users name larger. I opened up the “buddypress.php” file that is in the root of the Kloe theme on my computer and changed the code (font-size:20px;) to 30px. That’s the only change I made.
Then I went ahead and uploaded that PHP file to my hosting and overwrote the old file. After that my cover photos and profile photos are no longer displaying.In the attached screen shots you can see I am still able to upload a cover photo, but it does not display in the profile.
Here is what I have tried to fix the issue….
I tried changed the simple code back to 20px.
I deleted and re-uploaded the theme, the profile pics return but the cover photos do not.
I installed an old backup, but it is still not functioning correctly.
Re-installed BuddyPress plugin.
I downloaded the original buddypress.php file from a Kloe fresh re-install and uploaded it.
The code in the buddypress.php is exactly the same as the original and still it does not work.I can’t figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. I do not have a recent backup with all of customizations, so I can use that. Please help.
Please update to the latest version of the theme, and if you copied any template files into your child theme, then you should go over them and update those files to, by doing a compare with the new files and keeping your modifications. The file from your screenshot is lacking some lines of code from the last version ( 2.4 ).
